Found: Rare spaceman digital automatic 1970's

Featured in the Doensen boek "Watch" as a special part of the spaceman range designed y the famous designer Andre Le Marquand. He designed an oval spaceman watch in 1972 and a square series in 1974. A small 3rd series was produced in 1977 with a digital automatic movement. Made in 5 colours only and with low quality laquer straps and special cases that unfortunately did not last either. So very hard to find. But I found one, just the colour this collector was missing: Brown.

Not a watch for real use but what a feast to the eye. Look at that very large buckle, matching the size of the case. The case and bracelet of the same colour but certainly not just a colour. No it is made shiny in different ways. And to think that this type of watches with digital display was only made for a couple of years during the 1970's. What a watch!
